Where: Vienna, Saltzburg and ski resorts

Who:Skiing on a school trip and with my brother, Vienna with a friend and another time with my now husband.

How: For the ski holidays we flew, then transferred to the resorts by bus. For Vienna I went in overland by train.

Weather: Cold in the winter, warm in the summer

Food: Great wine and wienerschnitzel!

Sights:  Vienna is a stunning city. I enjoyed just walking around – the Hapsburg-era architecture is gorgeous.

Tip: Take a trip out to a winery for good food and excellent wine.
